Amboseli

Amboseli
National
Park nestles
at the foot
of Mt
Kilimanjaro,
Africa’s
highest
mountain.
Amboseli
supports the
widest
variety of
birds and
wildlife in
the country,
particularly
elephants as
well as
hosting
lions,
hyenas,
buffaloes,
zebras and
wildebeest
and so there
is plenty to
see. Where
the park is
dry and
open, it is
excellent
for spotting
cheetah. The
combination
of scenery,
people and
animals
makes
Amboseli
very
fascinating.

Tsavo
East National
Park |
Tsavo
East is famous
for its
large
elephant
herds, other
species of
animals
including
buffalo,
zebra,
wildebeest
and
antelope can
be seen in
this park.
Two major
rivers, the
Galana and
the Voi
river run
through the
Tsavo
national
Park, .
Both attract
game such as
giraffe and
lion. Tsavo is
also known
for its
excellent
number of
bird
species.
Tsavo East
is very
“typical”
African
“bush”
country
covered with
various
flat-topped
thorn trees
and
wonderful
baobabs.

West
National
Park |
is
rich with
herds of
elephants

wildebeest

Mzima
Springs is
a
natural home
for
thousands of
hippos. The
waters of
the springs
disappears
underground
and later
join Tsavo
River 7km
downstream.
Like all
springs and
rivers, they
attract game
such as
giraffe and
lion. Tsavo
West is also
known for
its
excellent
number of
bird
species.
This park
is very

African

The Masai
Mara |
The Masai
Mara is one
of the most popular
reserves in
the world
and was
voted one of
the 7
(seven)
natural
wonders of
the world. It
is
characterized
by 'big
skies',
open
savannahs,
the annual
wildebeest
migration,
high density
of plains game
and a
huge variety
of birdlife.
The Masai
Mara plains
are full of
wildebeest,
zebra,
impala,
topi,
giraffe,
Thomson's
gazelle.
Also
regularly
seen are
leopards,
lions,
hyenas,
cheetah,
jackal and
bat-eared
foxes, Black
rhino.
Hippos are
abundant in
the Mara
River as are
very large
Nile
crocodiles.
The Mara
birds come
in every
size and
colour
including
common but
beautiful
ones like
the lilac
breasted
roller and
plenty of
large
species like
eagles,
vultures and
storks.
